Basis sets for 3T MEGA-PRESS GABA Editing TE: 135

Hi everyone,

I need basis files for my Siemens 3T MEGA-PRESS GABA-editing data with TE = 135 ms. I generated a basis set on MRSCloud, but it didn’t work due to a “wrong field strength” error on LCModel.

I also found similar basis files, but they were created for TE = 68 ms.
Is there any way to convert those to TE = 135 ms ?

I would really appreciate any help. Thank you!

B0 is indicated as 2.89T in the .basis files. Would that be the problem?
You cannot directly convert basis sets from 68 to 135 ms.

i couldn’t find such an entry in the basis file. Although mrscloud basis sets worked fine for my other data.

Technical questions aside, I have a question about the protocol - what signal are you intending to edit?

The 3 ppm GABA signal is fully inverted at TE = 68 ms, and will therefore be in-phase again at TE = 135 ms - I’m not sure you’ll see anything?!

@ardacanbas1, try to load the .basis files with io_readlcmraw_basis.m from FID-A (GitHub - CIC-methods/FID-A: Toolbox for simulation and processing of in-vivo magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) data) in MATLAB. You will find B0 in each one of the basis function and you can change them from 2.89 to 3.0.

I think the TE = 135 ms data was some kind of test. I checked again, and most of my data actually has TE = 68 ms. Also, my basis set is working perfectly fine now!
