Protecting the Aging Brain

We are currently hiring multiple postdoctoral fellows for the project described below. This job posting is for an individual with significant expertise in both the acquisition and analysis of fMRI data and MR spectroscopy data. Our hire will lead 7T fMRI and MRS data collection at the A.A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, Massachusetts General Hospital (Harvard Medical School) in Boston MA, with opportunities to work on developing and implementing novel analytic techniques in neuroimaging.

Protecting the Aging Brain: Our research investigates the aging brain from the perspective of hypometabolism, including risk factors, underlying causes, and pharmacological treatment.

Qualifications: Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Physics, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. Prior experience in brain imaging (fMRI and MRS acquisition and/or analysis) * Strong proficiency in various neuroimaging analysis platforms, FreeSurfer, FSL * Strong proficiency in computer skills, UNIX, MATLAB, python * Established quantitative and statistical skills such as R or STATA, etc. * Passion for research and willingness to work in cutting edge scientific environment. * Excellent writing skills

Positions are for 3 years (with option to renew); salary highly competitive and commensurate with experience. Although this is a multi-site study, the physical work location for this position will be Boston, MA at the A.A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging.
