Hi, everyone,
Is Siemens’ own frequency correction option useful in 3T svs protocol? Any thoughts or experience?

Is this the RFA option or a different thing? If it’s different, how does it work?
I remember that @jimp and @eporges reported years ago that, in their experience, the RFA option was prone to making things worse for MEGA-PRESS. I think we concluded that one reason was that the frequency measurement isn’t localized to the MRS voxel, but to a slice (which is how it was able to operate at every TR).
If your scanner doesn’t drift that much, I probably wouldn’t bother.
It’s called ‘Freq. Corr. Accumulation’ in the protocol (attached). I believe it’s the RFA option that you mentioned. It calculates the frequency offset (using the first scan as reference - i think) and applies corrections to the acquired spectra in real-time.I wanted to explore this option because I am going to acquire data that is sensitive to frequency drift. I guess I will test it out by turning it on for 1 or 2 datasets. Thanks @admin
