Spec2nii conversion for .rda: wrong voxel coordinates

Good morning!

I’ve encountered some problems with the voxel coordinates post conversion of our rda files (Siemens 7T) to nifti. For the more recent scans in this project, we have rda and dat, but for the earlier ones, we only have rda, and I’d like to run FSL-MRS on them.

As you can (hopefully, if the upload has worked) see in the image, the blue voxel is the correct placement (from the dat to nii), and the yellow is the incorrect (rda to nii). The dimensions are also incorrect.

spec2nii does have a warning about rda conversions. But is there any known way to fix this error?

Thank you for your help!

Hi @asylvester ,

Nice to hear from you. Any chance that you can get an example with dat, rda and DICOM? I’m very confident of DICOM, and that has the same type of positional description as rda, so is more easily comparable to rda.

Hi @wclarke,

Thank you for your reply. I don’t think we have any current scans where we have all three, but we can make sure we export all three at the next scan (scheduled for 1st Nov at the moment, might have someone else sooner).

In the meantime, if there is an example you’ve got of the twix and rda, then I can look at that for now.

Thank you so much for the offer! I can send one or two examples where we have rda and twix, definitely. What would be the best way to do that?

Probably just drop me an email with a link, or the data directly.
