Slope next tp water signal

I just took a look at your PDF. The next time you see this signal in PRESS, you could try playing around with some of the following settings (one by one, not all at once)?

  • Sequence → Common → Incr. Gradient Spoiling (set to yes)
  • Changing the slice-selective gradient order and polarity (System → Miscellaneous → MSMA as well as flipping the sagittal, coronal and transversal gradients, see this thread and this thread)
  • It’s also weird to me that the voxel rotation is set to 80 degrees. I believe you should be able to achieve the same voxel geometry without this much rotation (rather switching the orientation settings).

I also noticed another thing that you should fix when you start a new protocol/study, not in the middle of ongoing acquisition:

  • For your water reference scans, you need to set the delta frequency (Sequence → Common) to 0 ppm to ensure that the water signal is co-localized with the metabolite scans (reverting the chemical shift displacement error).
  • For the water reference scans, you should also set the water suppression to ‘RF off’ so that they can be used for eddy-current correction (setting it to ‘off’ switches off the water suppression module completely).
